First of all, my apologies for the seemingly random class schedule but my weekends are a little crazy in the Summer with my own dogs activities. The early morning start time is because these classes will be held outside and it will be cooler in the morning.
This class will be all about building that amazing relationship with your canine companion.
We all start out on our doggy journey with a dream in mind of having that perfect relationship with our dog. One where he chooses us over the environment. One where we can be comfortable and confident taking him places and not worrying about where his attention will be. One where we can simply enjoy his being a dog and doing doggy things.
You can have all of these with some focused skill development through game play.
The I’LL BE THERE FOR YOU class will take place outdoors in a securely-fenced field so there will be lots of space for you and your dog to work and play together. Class size will be limited to six dog & handler teams. Please no aggressive dogs. We want this to be a class where all dogs and handlers are comfortable and feel safe. At times there will be one dog off-lead and for this we will have the other dogs outside the fenced area waiting their turn.
This class is open to any student who has completed one of our foundations classes (Puppy Kindergarten, Senior Puppy, or Family Pet). If you have already taken this class you can return and we will build on some of the skills you have already learned.
Have you ever been curious about different dog sports such as Obedience, Rally Obedience, Agility and Scent Work? Well this class will offer you an opportunity to learn a little bit about each of these fun dog sports through the eight- week session. No your dog does not have to have any special skills for this class . . . just come prepared to have some fun and who knows you might just catch the bug and decide to pursue of the sports with your dog. What if you are thinking . . . no . . . no way I will ever want to compete in anything with my dog? Well, that’s fine as well. This class will just build on some of the foundation skills you already have as they pertain to these particular dog sports.
Dogs of any age. No class prerequisite.
Does your dog’s behaviour make you feel anxious, stressed or embarrassed? This might be the class for you.
Is your dog jumping on you or other people, barking and lunging at the end of the lead, worried when leave the house, running away, pulling you on walks not settling in the house or outside.
These are just some of the behaviours you may see, the list is long and stressful for you and your dog.
This class will give you the tools you need and lot of information on how to deal with many behaviours.
NOT FOR DOGS WHO HAVE BITTEN PEOPLE OR FIGHT WITH OTHER DOGS!
This class is open to all dogs over the age of 8 years who have some foundation training whether with us, with another trainer or on your own. This age group of dogs is near and dear to my heart. We tend to pay attention to our younger dog’s mental and physical development but once our dogs are seniors we just let them be. All dogs, especially seniors, should have the opportunity to be active, both physically and mentally. Just attending a class and allowing them to be “social” is an amazing boost for them. In this class we will play training games, do some fitness work, play some puzzles and just enjoy the time with our seniors . . . it seems there is never enough time ❤️
Healthier, stronger, fitter, faster, more flexible
Health & fitness are two of the most important aspects of dog ownership.
The games, plans & strategies in this class will transform your dog’s fitness & health all while boosting your relationship.
Fitness prepares dogs for life’s events & supports their bodies to minimize risk of injury.
It keeps their minds & bodies enriched.
Fitness is different from exercise. Fitness is good for dogs who need to keep strong while on limited exercise. It is an alternative for when you want to DITCH THE WALK for whatever reason. Fitness works on creating better posture and strengthening the body. It improves proprioception (perception or awareness of the position and movement of the body) & body awareness which will help reduce the likelihood of injury. Fitness is a great rainy day activity to help tire out your dog. Fitness can help a young dog to build strength as they grow. It improves quality of life for older dogs. You can grow a fitness plan with your dog as they age.
This class is open to any dogs who have completed one of our foundations classes (Puppy Kindergarten, or Family Pet). In this class Cindy will take your training on the road so to speak. No reactive dogs for this group.
Maybe you haven't been doing much training lately or looking for something different for you and your dog. We will be doing games and tricks to engage your dog with you in a fun environment. Lots of treats and toys to be used.
